The Reichstag is a historic legislative government building in the heart of Berlin, which has been witness to the highs and lows of the country's history.

History

The Reichstag, constructed in 1894, has been witnessed to countless key moments in German history, from two world wars to the fall of the Berlin Wall. The iconic glass dome was added in 1999 as a symbol of transparency, democracy and modernity.

How to visit the Berlin Reichstag?

Admission to the Reichstag is free but requires prior reservation through the official website of the Parliament. To gain an insight into the history of the landmark, we recommend taking a guided tour of Berlin or a boat trip on the river Spree!
